Fares & Tickets

We are a low-cost bus company and always keep our fares in check to make sure we’re giving you the best possible value.

We do not currently maintain a comprehensive list of fares on our web site, but details of the various tickets available to you are outlined below. If you need information about the cost (or times) of a specific journey, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be glad to help:

email us at busstation@westerngreyhound.com
or call our helpline on 01637 871 871
lines open 0700-1900 Mondays to Saturdays and 0930-1730 on Sundays

You can buy all our tickets, except season tickets, from the driver when you get on the bus. If you can pay the correct fare, that is always helpful, but do not worry if you cant or do not know the fare as the driver will usually have change to help you.

Once you have read what you need, click the ticket title again to hide the details.

We have a selection of tickets:

Single (One Way) Tickets
If you are just making one single journey, ask the driver for a "Single ticket" to where you are going.
Day Return Tickets
If you are travelling anywhere and coming back on the same day, buy a Day return which gives you a substantial discount on the cost of two single tickets.
Season Tickets
If you are travelling regularly between two places, you can make huge savings by buying a Season ticket. A season ticket is the only ticket that you cannot but from the bus driver. To get one, ring us or e-mail for a quotation and we will require a passport-style photograph. Seasons can last for 3, 6 or 12 months. If you know your fare, click here and you can see the savings that you can make.
Children
You can get about one-third off all adult fares by asking for a "Child Single" or "Child Return". You need to be aged from 5 to 15, though and it is up to you to prove your age to the driver if you look older. We do not refund any fares afterwards if there is any doubt as to age at the time of boarding, or if you do not request a Childs fare.
Families
Take the children with you and make huge savings! Families of up to 5 people, of whom no more than two may be adults, can travel for just twice the Adult fare. Just ask the driver for a "Family Single" or "Family Return".
Concessionary Pass Holders
Cornwall Concessionary pass holders can travel totally free of charge at any time of the day for any distance, however long or short, provided their journey starts in Cornwall. Devonwide and Plymouth Concessionary Passholders can travel within the appropriate area during the times allowed on the pass. All you need to do is to show your Concessionary Pass to the driver as you board (you must do this, please - do not hide it away and expect the driver to ask you for it). You need to be over 60 or have certain disabilities, so get yours now and start travelling totally free!!
England Concessionary Pass Holders
From April 2008, passholders from other areas in England (but not Scotland or Wales) are able to travel for free on Western Greyhound buses at off peak times - between the hours of 09:30 and 23:00 as well as throughout the day on Bank Holidays and at the weekend. Just show your pass to the driver, tell him where you are going and travel for free!
