Come and drive a Western Greyhound bus at the Ladies’ Driving Challenge at RAF Portreath on Sunday 5th September 2010!
Picture yourself behind the wheel of some of the most unusual and challenging vehicles you’ll ever dream of driving – anything from a Western Greyhound double decker bus, to a fire engine, army tank or JCB!

Each entrant is asked to commit to raising £100 each for Marie Curie Cancer Care and there is a non-refundable registration fee of £10 per entrant. Download an entry form from the Marie Curie website - www.mariecurie.org.uk/events/adrenaline

23/08/2010 - Integrated bus and rail tickets - update
Back in February 2010, we announced that we were continuing our commitment to integrated public transport in the region and were launching six additional opportunities for passengers to book travel for their entire journey, where a rail ticket included an onward bus fare.
Due to some technical issues that have arisen in the rail industry booking system, we have been receiving feedback that some of the these tickets cannot be bought online through firstgreatwestern.com.
We have asked for this issue to be addressed and trust there will be a resolution in the near future. In the meantime, we would advise prospective passengers wishing to take advantage of through-ticket options and experiencing issues with online purchase to call the First Great Western telesales team on 08457 000 125. Tickets can be posted to a home address or collected from any automatic ticket machine at a rail station.
The six additional through-ticket options currently available but not possible to purchase online are as follows:
501 Penzance to Land’s End
510 Exeter St Davids to Okehampton & Launceston
526 St Austell to Mevagissey and Heligan Gardens
573 Liskeard to Polperro
576 Plymouth to Callington
581 Liskeard to Downderry
599 Exeter St Davids to Okehampton & Bude
These tickets are in addition to the PlusBus tickets, Looe Valley Ranger and Ride Cornwall tickets. For a full list of all the through train tickets available, select “fares and tickets” to your left and navigate to the “through train tickets” section.
